Why I Started Squishy Factory: Creating Calm Through Handmade Squishies

Why I Started Squishy Factory: Creating Calm Through Handmade Squishies

Stress has always been a part of my life, especially during my university years. Deadlines, pressure, and constant responsibilities made it easy to feel overwhelmed. During those stressful moments, I often looked for small ways to calm myself and reset, even if only for a few minutes.

That search for calm is what eventually led to the creation of Squishy Factory.

How My Journey With Stress Relief Began

When I was just 14 years old, I started my first small business selling slime. At the time, playing with slime felt incredibly calming. It allowed me to express my creativity, relax my mind, and connect with people who enjoyed the same sensory experience. It was more than just a product to me. It was a way to share comfort and creativity with others.

Even today, I still enjoy playing with slime occasionally. However, as time passed, I began to notice some limitations that made slime less suitable for everyday use.

Why Slime No Longer Fit My Everyday Life

Although slime can be calming, it often left my hands feeling extremely dry after use. It could also be messy and difficult to clean up, making it inconvenient to use outside of the home. I realised that slime was not something I could comfortably enjoy everywhere, especially during busy days or while studying.

I wanted something that could offer the same calming feeling without the mess, dryness, or restrictions.

Discovering Taba Squishies

That was when I discovered taba squishies. For the first time, I experienced a stress-relief squishy that felt gentle, soothing, and easy to use. Squishies were mess-free, kind to the hands, and could be carried anywhere, whether in a bag, pocket, or placed on a desk.

However, as I began looking for taba squishies in the UK, I quickly noticed a major gap in the market.

The Gap in the UK Squishy Market

Most squishies available online were either expensive or poor in quality. Many were made from rubbery materials that felt unpleasant to squeeze, rose back too quickly, or had a strong smell. Instead of being calming, they felt distracting and uncomfortable to use. High-quality, slow-rising taba squishies were extremely limited in the UK market.

This gap made it clear that there was room for something better.

Why Squishy Factory Was Created

Squishy Factory was created to offer a better alternative. I wanted to build a brand that genuinely helps people feel better during stressful moments. The focus is on creating squishies that are soft, slow-rising, and calming to use, while also being practical enough to take anywhere.

Beyond functionality, I also wanted Squishy Factory to feel warm and personal. From the product designs to the packaging, every detail is carefully considered to create something comforting rather than overwhelming.

More Than a Product, a Calming Experience

Receiving a Squishy Factory product is meant to feel like an experience rather than just a purchase. Opening the packaging is designed to feel gentle and reassuring, offering a small pause from a busy and stressful life. The intention is to create a moment that feels comforting and grounding, even on a bad day.

For me, squishies became a healthier and more practical way to manage stress, and I wanted to share that feeling with others.

A Brand Built on Connection and Care

Squishy Factory exists to connect with people who feel stressed, overwhelmed, or simply in need of something calming. Whether someone is studying, working, commuting, or taking a quiet break at home, a squishy can offer a small moment of comfort through touch.

This brand was built from personal experience, creativity, and a genuine desire to help people feel a little better in their everyday lives. Squishy Factory is about creating calm in simple ways, one squeeze at a time.
